It all started back in the summer of 1996 when my family bought our first PC. My love for Mortal Kombat was already well established at the time so naturally I scoured the net for anything I could find about my beloved MK for years on end. Along the way I found myself visiting on a regular basis then popular fan sites Mortal Kombat Nightmares and BlueStar's Mortal Kombat for the latest news and information. Towards the end of 1999, I finally made up my mind to pursue creating my own fansite dedicated to the series. I simply entitled it "Dave's Mortal Kombat" inspired by the already defunct BlueStar's MK. When DMK first went online in 2000 it immediately caught the attention of other MK sites by winning various awards and tons of praise by the fans in the guestbook. This inspired to me to work even harder and never before have I ever been more proud and passionate about anything else in my life. Between the years 2002 and 2004, I befriended and brought on staff adamDMK and Holy Grail. If it weren't for these two master minds, DMK would have fallen into the depths long ago. In the summer of 2005 the decision was made to rename the site to "Mortal Kombat Nexus" and was finally changed in the fall of 2007. This officially signified that DMK was no longer a one man effort and presented a look and feel never before seen in the MK Community.

I can't even remember how I stumbled across here in the first place. I think it was in the lead up to MKDA. After the failure that was MK4 I lost interest in the series and in my surfing boredom at work, I found out that a new 3D MK was on the way. I think it was that shot of one of the programmers that had a 3Dimensional Raiden on the screen behind him that sold me - an image that just so happened to be posted here. Oh, I guess I can remember. Oh well...

Though young, I have been through enough in my life to realize that there are far better things than what most people find appealing. To me the world itself has far more to offer than anything man made. I look to the skies to find answers to my questions and although I may not always get one, I do find peace in my search. I know to some that this may sound a bit strange, but that's who I am.

People, in general, all have something unique to offer. However, some qualities are easier to find than others. I have always given people a chance to prove their worth and show what they can do. It is for that reason that I expect the same treatment... though I don't always recieve it. Once I have dealt with someone long enough, I will begin to be more open with them and show some of my humorous side to them. As far as people go, I am much more of an observer... sitting back and watching what a person is comfortable with and what they find offensive. No matter what nationality, I find that people are very easy to get along with.

As far as my involvement with DMK... well, I happened upon the site a while back when I was looking for Mortal Kombat images. This wasn't the first MK site that I visited but it was by far the most friendly. I waited for a while before actually joining the forums. After a year or so of "good behavior" I was bestowed the honorary title of Moderator and eventually News Director. Now I do what I can for the site and try my best to keep everyone in the "know," .

My first memories of Mortal Kombat was playing it on my friends SNES as a kid. I remember when I managed to pull of Sub-Zero's fatality, I was very happy at the time. But, I never really got into Mortal Kombat until Mortal Kombat Trilogy and Mortal Kombat 4 for my Playstation. After the decline of the Mortal Kombat franchise, I had almost forgotten about Mortal Kombat, that was until Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance came out. It got me interested in the story once again and I found myself playing MKT for nostalgia. Then, Mortal Kombat Deception came out. I loved that all the more. Then, I began to wonder what the next game would be like.

Wanting to share my ideas with people, I looked on Google for a forums to post on. DMK was the first one I saw who had members posting their ideas about future games, so, I joined up under the name Red Ninja Warrior. It was the first forums i had actually joined. Not only could I share my ideas, but the forum layout was cool too, I like dark colors. However, after i had finished each character, I found myself drawn away from the forums, due to a few issues, personal life, exams, a few other things, but, mid 2006, I came back and became an active member of this community. It all started when I joined the chat and begun speaking with Camilla, (Mileena at the time) and JaL. The two of them were nice to me and we got along very well. From then, I began posting more and more and making new friends. After a while, I decided to change my name to something I was using almost everywhere now, Lord Paragon. Then, I started getting peoples attention because of my intellect. I started speaking with members who had been more active on the forums and had reputations, good or bad. Forest Demon, Lucifer, BarakaBrat, Only Stryker Fan, Ces't La Vei!, PimpChimp, Tanya_Lover. But, it wasn't until I noticed that a kolumn hadn't been written in a while and, out of curiosity and boredom, asked if i could do it, that things took off. I wrote my first kolumn and from then because of that and how I am, I was invited onto the staff.

Joining the forum back during V2.0, I tried to make the forum active by chating with now long gone users. From then on, I've stuck with MKNx (DMK), watching it spawn into a bigger and better community.

Bought Deadly Alliance in late 2003... looked it up on the internet for cheats, and DMK popped up. I used it as a resource for a long time and lurked around in the forums and finally registered when I got bored when I just got my then new laptop. Wasn't exactly my intention to stay on DMK very long but I'm glad I stayed...

I joined in 2003- god knows why, and did some pretty stupid stuff. I smartened up and made quite a few friends afterwards. I typically stalk around the non-MK sections and "Klassics" because I'm not into the newer MK fighters.

Well, when I signed up to be a member here, I actually wasn't planning on staying. lol I just had one question to ask, and I assumed someone here at DMK would be able to help me. I had seen this pic from Mortal Kombat Deception, with a girl in it who looked like Li Mei, but she was holding Kitana's fans, so I'm like "Wtf?" lol So, if I remember correctly, I just asked if anyone knew if the girl in the pic was supposed to be Kitana or Li Mei. KKW2 was the person who answered my question, I think...and told me that I had posted in the wrong place. lmao But she was nice about it. ^_^ But for some reason, after that first post, I kinda got drawn into DMK. I'm a big MK fan, and I liked being able to chat with other people about which MK games I liked, which ones I hated, which characters I liked and hated, so on and so forth. Plus, to top it all off, the people here really seemed to have personalities. I met a few cool people here, kept posting and posting and posting...and now, here I am still, three years later. Very cool place, Dave did a great job.

I've been a fan of Mortal Kombat ever since the beginning. I loved playing it against my friends back in the day at the arcades. But then some years go by and I had drifted away from Mortal Kombat. Until one day, I decided to brush up on some feelings of nostalgia and play Mortal Kombat II on my SNES. That is when my love for the series resurfaced and it was also when I found and joined MKNx in late 2003. I was a frequent poster up until about late 2004 when high school and working jobs took up most of my time and I ended up leaving the forums for a couple years. After graduating from high school in 2006, I decided to come back and give the forums I loved another shot, and I've been here ever since.
